The Thin Film Evaporator, also known as a scraping film evaporator, differs from molecular distillation equipment primarily because it lacks an integrated condenser, which means it doesn’t qualify as short-range distillation equipment. Thin film evaporators are especially effective for processing heat-sensitive substances with relatively low boiling points, and are ideal for concentrating, distilling, separating, dissolving, decarboxylating, and deodorizing these materials. Unlike rotary evaporators, which repeatedly heat materials and can degrade sensitive substances, thin film evaporators minimize the time materials spend on the heating surface. This design reduces the risk of thermal degradation, making it highly suitable for handling heat-sensitive materials. The TFE-150 model provides an evaporation area of 0.25㎡.
